The Habitats Trust Grants recognise and support conservation organisations and individuals dedicated to preserving India's natural habitats and native species, including lesser-known species and critical habitats.
Applications are welcomed for holistic, innovative, and replicable projects that have direct conservation benefits for threatened habitats or species, without being limited to any specific region.

As you start your application, here are some key pointers to remember:
1. For the THT Conservation Grant 2024, your organisation must be at least 5 years old and have 3 years of experience in on-ground conservation projects.
2. If you're seeking the THT Action Grant 2024, ensure your organisation has been functional for at least 2 years and possesses 2 years of experience in direct on-ground conservation projects.
3. Individuals applying for the THT Action Grant must ensure they are not full-time employees of any registered not-for-profit organisation in India.
4. Past grantees must allow for a one-year gap after completing a project before reapplying for THT Grants.
5. Each applicant can only submit one grant application per year.
6. Organisations applying for the THT Conservation Grant cannot concurrently apply for the THT Action Grant or THT Seed Grant.
7. If you have completed a project with THT seed grant, you’re eligible to apply to the larger grants.
8. If your organisation doesn't have an 80G certificate, approval under section 35(i)(ii) of the Income Tax Act 1961 by the central government will be accepted.
9. Make sure to carefully review the grant guidelines and eligibility criteria for the specific grant category you're interested in before applying.
10. The application form, while you’re filling it, can be saved page-wise. The form does NOT save the uploads. So, if you leave the form on page 4, you will have to re-upload your documents.

5. Certificate of exemption under section 80G/35(1)(ii) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (PDF/DOCX/PNG/JPG, under 2 MB)
6. CSR-1 Certificate (PDF/DOCX/PNG/JPG/under 2 MB)
7. Income Tax returns for the last 2 years (PDF/DOCX/PNG/JPG, under 5MB)
8. Audited financials for the last three years (PDF/DOCX/PNG/JPG, under 5MB)
9. CV of key personnel working on the project (mention same formats)
10. Most recent annual reports (mention same formats)
11. FCRA certificate if available (mention the same format)
