Dy. Manager – Marketing, Communications & Outreach

Position Summary:

    The Habitat Trust (THT) is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Dy. Manager for Marketing, Communications & Outreach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creating compelling narratives and connecting people to important causes. You will work closely with the Lead – Communications to bring THT’s vision and help build a powerful platform for showcasing solutions for a thriving world.

    We believe in the power of diverse perspectives. While experience in nature, ecology, or conservation is not mandatory, a background in marketing, branding, or communications will be ideal.     In this role, you will contribute to the strategic growth of THT’s outreach and communication efforts, traveling to some of India’s most breathtaking landscapes and engaging with local communities to share stories of environmental and social change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize & Execute: Collaborate closely with the Lead – Communications & Outreach to design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and outreach plans.
  • Field Engagement: Travel to THT’s field sites across India to document the work on the ground, capturing the essence of THT’s initiatives through storytelling.
  • Content Creation: Write compelling articles, case studies, and success stories for THT’s website and other digital platforms.
  • Innovative Storytelling: Work with the team to introduce new formats of storytelling, blending digital and offline mediums to inspire and inform.
  • Social Media Mastery: Evaluate and adapt social media communication strategies, working with internal teams and external agencies to run effective campaigns on platforms like YouTube, Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Creative Partnerships: Build relationships with designers, photographers, videographers, and other external partners to elevate THT’s outreach efforts.
  • Collaborative Communication: Support internal communication initiatives and create materials such as press releases, annual reports, and promotional collateral.
  • Campaign Monitoring: Regularly assess the effectiveness of campaigns, keeping an eye on what’s working and what needs improvement.
  • Accuracy & Consistency: Ensure all communications are accurate, consistent, and reflect THT’s values and mission.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative duties related to marketing and communication efforts.

Must have:

  • At least eight years of relevant experience in marketing, brand building, or corporate communications.
  • Proven ability to implement and coordinate projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
  • A solid understanding of social media platforms and their dynamics.
  • Excellent command over the English language, with an eye for detail in content creation and editing.
  • A team-oriented mindset, with a collaborative approach to work.
  • Interest in wildlife and conservation, with a genuine passion for sustainability and community impact.
