In 2019, The Habitats Trust received around 300 applications from 880 registrations though our online portal from across the country. All applications were screened by specialists in the field and our external auditors, post which 28 applicants were shortlisted for Field-level Verification. The Habitats Trust team visited the 28 proposed project sites and the findings were submitted to an internal panel of Sub-Jurors. The Sub-Jury shortlisted 13 finalists – three in each organisational category and four in the individual category, to move forward to the Jury Round.

On 13 November 2019, the 13 finalists presented their proposals to our eminent jury comprising of Dr. MK Ranjitsinh, Mr. Brian Heath, Ms. Bahar Dutt and Mr. Shikhar Malhotra, and four recipients were selected for The Habitats Trust Grants 2019.
